Overview

Skunked! is a single-player card game. We collect minimal data and store most information locally on your device. No account is required to play.

Data stored on your device

The following is stored only in your browser's localStorage and never sent anywhere:

Game progress, run saves, and lifetime statistics
Settings (theme, difficulty, auto-advance preference)
Tutorial and collection state
An anonymous randomly-generated ID used for the daily leaderboard (see below)
Your chosen display name (if set)

This data lives entirely on your device. Clearing your browser storage or uninstalling the app removes it permanently.

Daily leaderboard

If you play the Daily Challenge, the following is submitted to our leaderboard server (hosted on Cloudflare):

Your anonymous ID — a randomly generated UUID created locally, not linked to any account or identity
Your chosen display name (defaults to "Player" if not set)
Your run result: win/loss, tier reached, number of hands played, difficulty, active modifier IDs, and the daily seed
The submission timestamp

No name, email, IP address, or other personally identifiable information is stored in the leaderboard database. The anonymous ID cannot be used to identify you.

Leaderboard entries are retained indefinitely. You can request removal by contacting us with your anonymous ID (visible in your browser's localStorage under the key skunked_user_id).

Hosting & infrastructure

Skunked! is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may collect standard server-side logs (IP address, user agent, request metadata) as part of normal CDN operation. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for details.

Analytics

We do not currently use any analytics or tracking services.

Third-party services

The desktop version of Skunked! is distributed via Steam (Valve Corporation). Steam may collect usage data per their own Privacy Policy .

Children

Skunked! is a card game with no mature content. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The leaderboard display name is optional and user-chosen.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the game evolves. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
